Firas’s Story from Gaza

My name is Firas, and I am from Gaza.

During the war, our home was directly bombed and collapsed over our heads. In a single moment, we lost everything: our home, our safety, and the life we once knew.

By God’s mercy, I and two of my children were pulled alive from under the rubble. However, I was seriously injured and I am no longer able to work or provide for my family.

Today, I live in a tent with my children, without proper shelter or basic necessities. My brother is the only one helping me, but he is also unemployed. He lives with me in the same tent along with his three children. We are two families, with innocent children, living together in one tent under extremely harsh conditions.

We do not have enough food or clothing, and we have no source of income. I cannot afford medical treatment or medicine for my injuries. We are struggling every day just to survive.

With this message, I humbly ask people with compassionate hearts for help.

We urgently need:

• medical treatment
• food and basic necessities
• clothing for the children
• financial assistance to survive

Any support, no matter how small, can make a huge difference and bring hope to my children after all the suffering we have endured.

La storia di Firas da Gaza

Durante la guerra, la nostra casa è stata colpita da un bombardamento diretto ed è crollata sopra le nostre teste. In pochi istanti abbiamo perso tutto: la casa, la sicurezza e la vita che conoscevamo.

Per grazia di Dio, io e due dei miei figli siamo stati estratti vivi da sotto le macerie, ma ho riportato gravi ferite. Oggi non posso lavorare e non ho alcuna fonte di reddito.

Attualmente vivo in una tenda insieme ai miei figli. Mio fratello è l’unica persona che mi aiuta, ma anche lui è disoccupato e vive con me nella stessa tenda insieme ai suoi tre figli. Siamo due famiglie, con bambini innocenti, costrette a vivere tutte insieme in una sola tenda, in condizioni estremamente difficili.

Non abbiamo cibo sufficiente, né vestiti, né denaro. Non posso permettermi cure mediche o medicinali per le mie ferite. Viviamo giorno per giorno, senza sapere come sopravvivere.

Con questo messaggio mi rivolgo alle persone dal cuore misericordioso:

abbiamo urgente bisogno di:

• cure mediche
• cibo e beni di prima necessità
• vestiti per i bambini
• un sostegno economico per poter continuare a vivere

Ogni aiuto, anche il più piccolo, può fare una grande differenza e dare speranza ai miei figli dopo tanta sofferenza.
